Going to ask this here as the community in this thread is responsive and been super helpful over the last month or so ... With me getting my KPE on Thursday, and still getting over my bricked 3090 Hybrid from last night (into my brothers PC), was wondering if anyone plans to run aftermarket fans or setups on the rad? Where the Rad is going in my O11-D XL case, i have 3x ML120 fans, and wasn't sure how i can use those. I noticed on the hybrid card last night, the fans connected to a header from the pump/GPU. If i am leaving the EVGA fans off, and go with the Corsair ML120 fans on the rad instead, would i just not use the cable for fan headers coming from pump, and go directly into my commander pro like they are now? Any help is appreciated, just curious how it'll work and what everyone's plans are. Thanks
I have a similar setup (O11 XL) and Corsair ML120 fans. I plan on putting the Kingpin Rad in the front/side mount with the Kingpin fans in a push configuration then the Corsair ML120s in a pull configuration on the other side. Then I have the 3 ML120s on the bottom as intake, and the H150i with 3 ML120s for output on the top, and 1 ML120 for output on the back. I'll set a custom fan curve for the Kingpin Corsair fans in iCue.
I haven't tested it yet but i believe you should be able to mount the rad like this and still put the side cover on : (Inside case) ML120|Radiator|CaseWall|Kingpin Fans (Exterior of Case)
I have the O11 Dynamic XL myself. I have the ML120 fans as well and they are awesome fans. I went with the RED LED ML120's since i was just going for a certain color theme on my build. My plan is to go push/pull on the KPE RAD too. I will mount mine in the back side, mounting the RAD on the other side of the case so the pull fans are mounted through the case to the RAD. If i don't, i will run into a issue some have in that on my MSI board, the front panel USB 3 cable will be in the way due to the USB 3 header on my MB is right in the way preventing push/pull if i mount the KPE RAD on the inside part of the back mounting point.
I have PWM fan splitters i am going to test first so i will have 6 RAD fans connected to the card itself and control the speed from there through X1. If i don't like it, i have a commander Pro and Commander Core i can use and do it through iCue.
