I heard performance of the kingpin arent that great . you guys think its wort the $500 premium over the 3090 base at $1499 ?

I think you have to decide that for yourself.  Here is a good thread of real members of our community who, having secured Kingpins, are pushing the limits of the card (whether on LN2 or wintery air).

Me either.  LN2 fascinates me...but it also frightens and confuses me.  I want a stable, strong card.  I want to push it through...not sure of the appropriate expression..."conventional" means (e.g., I'll leave the windows open and bundle up for my benchmarks but will not be buying a cauldron for LN2 efforts for a variety of reasons (not the least of which is that I am rather clumsy and would be more likely to freeze the cat with a spill than actually get the LN2 poor accurately into a thermos).

I don’t think you should be looking at the KPE as a traditional upgrade (I.e. XC3–>FTW3). It’s a card that allows you to push the limits of the technology or if you’re the kind of person that just wants to have the biggest and baddest version available.

If you’re looking at performance upgrade over other card variants and weighing costs, it’s probably not the right card for you because that’s not the niche that this card is meant fulfill. Tbh, any 3090 card shouldn’t in the calculation in that regards lol compared to the 3080 lineup.

I’m not an LN2 overclocker but I enjoy having hardware that can be pushed as far as it can go. In this case, however far it can go with that 360mm rad, if I can even get on that notify list tomorrow lol.

I dont think there is a card that will do that with RT on. If you are buying a 30 series not to use dlss i am not sure you are going with the right card.
