its hard to put it in perspective because i never did firestrike ultra at stock and that there is a cpu test in there....so they could easily be using a new amd cpu and scoring over 40k on the cpu test......which would dramatically bring up total score.

I know i was able to score 14,136 with a 10,900k.
What do your stock 3080s score with the 450w bios? Also how well does the amd card OC? honestly we need more info and they should have done a port royal as well.

They?
This is a leak. Don't expect "them" to do anything that you ask them to do. And don't believe it either.

The official launch is in 2 days. We should have a lot more information -- and official -- then.

Yup. Never forget, these websites get paid for bringing in clicks & eyeballs for ad revenue. They don't suffer for being inaccurate. Look at WCCFTech, they created a bogus rumor about a 20GB 3080 & then reported that NVIDIA "killed" that product line, less than a week later, all without a single shred of proof.

Take everything with a bag of salt. These sites are not reporting "news" they are trying to cultivate rumors just to get seen.

I dont go by benchmarks. You have to go by overall performance in the games that pushes the GPUs to their limits.

By golly if the benchmarks amd showed are real AMD is back in the high end. 6900 trading blows with 3090

I am disappointed that AMD is focusing so hard on AMD vs NVIDIA, instead of trying to market the card based on its own merits.

While the numbers do indeed look great, they didn't show any DXR benchmarks for comparison. I wonder if the leaked Port Royal benchmark showing RDNA2 tanking with RT performance are correct now. They also didn't mention any specialized RT accelerating hardware like Nvidia's RT cores to offload the ray casting computations too. If they don't have specialized hardware acceleration units that means they are relying purely on their streaming multiprocessors to calculate it which would explain the drop off in performance in the leaked Port Royal benchmark. At any rate I was still impressed by the numbers they showed and and highly anticipating independent reviews.

And you left out the part about being 500 DOLLARS LESS.

Tuxedo.
Someone whispered Mister Huang what AMD is having in their pipeline it seems.
Otherwise I doubt that Nvidia would have pushed their cards without actually having chips ..
I tihnk the 3000' launch was scheduled for a later time but they wanted to release ... and we see what happened.
If EVGA does not get any cards to EU until Mid December I will go AMD.
