Seems that random black screens, killing of audio and coming back to desktop (without sound) is en vogue...

Anyone else seen this? it looks like the driver resets (I'm inclined to think it's a driver issues) ....The card is rock solid in games...
but when playing youtube vids and running X1 it'll just...stop at times..

This is with a clean install of Win10 Pro, btw....

Not with my 3090 FTW3 Ultra. Although I did have a black screen / driver crash & recover once 4 days ago. It required a computer restart because the power state was stuck on the lowest setting, but it hasn't happened again.

I found flickering would happen on TV turn on (LG CX, 4K120Hz 10 bit RGB full with HDR and Gsync on), but that turned out to be my 48gbps cable dropping below the 40.1 gbps required because my 3090 was active folding work units and also because it was routed near the power supply. I moved the cable and put some EMI chokers and that problem went away entirely.

If you aren't on the latest hotfix drivers, you should try them: https://forums.evga.com/G...on-45698-m3123704.aspx

Did you put the EMI chokers on the HDMI cable?

Probably a mix of the latest windows updates and the drivers for new card architecture being buggy from nvidia....

Yes, four of them - one on each end, and two in the middle spaced out where it is near my PC. The PSU cable already has a big one built in.

That's kind of what I am thinking..which is why I'm wanting a new driver (not a hot fix)...heh

Again, try the hotfix drivers. If you don't want to, I'm sorry but you aren't trying to help yourself.

And if you are running HDMI to a 2.1 HDMI TV, new cable / EMI shield it.
