Hello All - I recently was able to build a PC with a EVGA GTX 1080 SC (PN: 08G-P4-6183-KR) and noticed it gets a little hotter than my previous cards. After a little reading it seems that there is a BIOS update that adjusts fan speeds to reduce temps. Does anyone know which firmware version this might be/which the latest is and where I can download it from?

Thanks! Would you know if the EVGA 1080 SC has a dual or single BIOS?

Pretty sure it's a single VBIOS card. Look at the side of the card along the PCB edge (it's very noticable if it's there, no need to take the card out of the case to look) - if there isn't a switch (usually labeled OC/normal) then it's a single VBIOS card.

Thanks I was able to apply the BIOS update successfully and notice the higher fan curve. EVGA is also sending me the thermal mod kit to help lower temps even further.

I hope you can help me, I have an EVGA RTX 1080Ti SC2 11Gb card, Device ID: 10DE 1B06-3842 6593, with a BIOS version: 86.02.39.00.90.
Would it be possible to update the BIOS to something more recent please.
I'm not having any problems now, but a few months ago I had to swap the video lead from the HDMI outlet, to the long socket with an adapter, as the screen went blank.
However, 3 weeks ago I was installing another 32Gbs of memory, and took the case out the garage to blow out the dust etc.
When re-assembling I put the HDMI lead back into the card not the adapter without thinking, and I had the display back, don't know what happened there but it's working fine now.
P.S. I've looked on JacobF's page of BIOS updates, but the 1080 SC doesn't seem to correspond to mine.

There is not a BIOS update for your GPU. I suspect you had a faulty HDMI cable prior if the HDMI is now working properly. Of course a 1080 SC BIOS would not work on a 1080 TI. He has a 1080 Ti, that does not apply.
