Only getting +70 on core and +500 on memory on my RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra. Everything above is unstable. Black screen or games crash. :/
Card is getting very hot in games. Can go over 80C sometimes, depending on the game. Room temp is 20-23C. Fractal Define C with good air flow.
Just to put things into perspective, under same conditions my old RTX 2060 Strix before this almost never hit 60 or above while heavy gaming. I don't remember temp monitor ever showing 60C.

Sounds about right. These cards are pushed to the limits. Great candidate for water cooling. I see 70+ on air in an o11d xl case depending on game but usually when there is a lot of tracing of the rays and a high FPS.

Oh cool, I do plan to switch my FD case for a O11 Dynamic. Hopefully it will get the card cooler with better airflow.

I don't care so much about the temps though. Disappointed I can't OC the card higher then I wrote above, even with the 450W BIOS.
Thinking it's because the temps are so high. But seeing people mostly get 100+ on the core on air. Or am I missing something.

It's just the temps, if you can get the card cooler you will be able to hit higher clocks, if I get my card really cool I can do +135 on gpu for a short period of time until it hits 60c, and then it starts to power limit. To be honest running overclocked 360w compared to 450w is about 4fps.

That is true, when you think about how small the performanse increase is. Maybe better just run it with stock values for gaming and OC it just for show off in benchmarks. XD
What GPU do you have?

Welcome to the GPU lottery. It appears we are both losers at it... Mine is a trashdog too. Max I can hit stable on the core is +50mhz, anything above, crashes (even with voltage maxed out). And I even have a Hybrid kit installed and with low temps...
Lower quality asic requires higher volts thus higher temps. I'm jealous of other people hitting 150+ mhz on the core lol.

OMG I THOUGH I WAS THE ONLY ONE, I HAD A TUF 3080 AND HAD MUCH MORE PERFORMANCE THAN THIS ONE... AND INSTALLED TOO THE HYBRID KIT, ONLY +75 :( NOW I REGRET SELLING MY TUF 3080 TO BUY THIS FTW3.

This is exactly what I do, I run lower power limit in games, and higher for benchmarks I've been trying to hit 13k in port royal but my card just wont do it on air I'm 138 points away. 0.60fps away lol

Remember that the tuff is 1740mhz (or 1780 OC model) boost clock, the FTW3 Ultra is 1800 MHz and has a higher power limit..
Need to look at the end frequency and power draw, not the offset in Afterburner.

It'll still outperform the tuff even at lower clocks once it's gone past the power limit of the tuff.
