Yeah the ftw3090 has been disappointing given it’s price point. Doesn’t compare to the Strix. I feel like I’ve been ripped off

Several other cheaper cards that are able to hit 500w on the EVGA bios, when it comes to overclocking you can get more power from a shunted 2 port zotac.
Sad time for EVGA owners.

I'm certain that my old Eagle 3090 would of performed better than my ftw3 on the 500w bios.

Lot of misinformed people here.

If u want your 3090 to draw close to TDP ( 500W) make voltage 1.100mV and +1000 memory.

Also you may lost silicon lottery aswell. No need to cry.

My 400W bios 3080 FTW peaking 407W and scored 12.6K on port royal for example

I have a 3080 FTW3 Ultra/3900x/750w Seasonic Platinum

Is it safe to update to 450w Bios and max out power limit and core voltage with a 750w power supply? Or should I upgrade my PSU??

Thanks

Haven't had any problems yet. I have an i7 10700k and ftw3 ultra 3080. Can do about 160 mhz oc for 3dmark, but for real world gaming 145 or 130 are about as table as I can get it on the 450w bios with voltage and power limit maxed.

Same here. I can push it to 185 mhz on my FTW Ultra 3080, but the stable sweetspot seems to be a ~135-145 mhz uplift.  My FE is a much better binned GPU and easily walks all over my EVGA card. :/

There is a very large problem with early 3090's that evga do not want to address. I could take a screenshot of my Port Royal running +1000 mem +200 core with a max of 440w but im done with this faulty batch of cards. If you don't know what you are talking about and have no real world experience on the matter then please don't spread misinformation as this doesn't help the people who are currently stuck with these faulty cards. My old 3090 shunted eagle now pull's 500w and that was one of the cheapest 3090's on the market, i wish i kept that instead of giving it to my brother.
