After updating to the beta bios, I consistently have long boot times due to a "VGA error" on my x570 GodLike. In PX1, it randomly has issues displaying temps as well.  Anyone else experiencing this?

Wow!  I was noticing long boot times, and didn't even relate it to the bios update.  I've got my post code disabled.  I'll enable it tonight and see if I'm getting a VGA error as well....

I'm also only getting about 425-430W max with the XOC bios and still getting "power limit" as the reason for throttling.  I wonder if it's not the power draw from the fans though that is that extra 25-30W?

So I updated to this new BIOS, when I go into CMD, run as administrator, type nvidia-smi -q -d POWER
It is showing me 450W max still? I have tried typing nvidia-smi -pl 500
This gives me an error, saying it cannot not exceed 450W...?? I'm confused. I have the 3080 FTW3 Ultra...
Yes I installed the correct BIOS, and yes I did both OC and Normal BIOS.
What gives?

EDIT- Oh and also, it doesn't go above around 430W-ish?

Is it safe to update to 450w Bios and max out power limit and core voltage with a 750w power supply? Or should I upgrade my PSU??

Thanks

*edit* ignore that first post. After fully powering the system down and restarting it works just fine. :)

Well Tom's Hardware has it all wrong then I guess?? They have a post stating the BIOS is raising it from 450 to 500 for both the 3080 and 3090....

This is a quote from a post I made on the PSU sub forum. YMMV.

"Last night I checked out my power draw. It ranged from 698-713W.

My 10850k has a relatively mild OC on it and the 3080 FTW3 Ultra is running straight out of the box. No memory or GPU overclocks on it at all. At idle, as I type this, my system is drawing 279W, CPU temp is 32C, GPU temp is 57C with a peak of 73C running Port Royal.

In no way, shape or form would I try to run this on anything less than an 850W PSU on 3 separate PCIE cables. Doing anything else is just begging for trouble if you have any sort of OC on your CPU, think you might want to OC your GPU or have a lot of fans/drives in your system."
