What's the rest of your system specs?

Curious as I have a OC 8700k to 5.1ghz, 32gb RAM, 3080 ftw 3 Ultra, 850w PSU evga nova G+ and they recommend a MINIMUM 850w.

Took the wattage measurements with the new 450W bios using my Corsair HXI 850

From the PSU to the PC, NOT from the wall.
NOT OCED, just power slider on 118% in PX1.

Doesn't include power spikes.

Gaming load = 630W
MAX full system load = 715W

Soooo  those of us who bought the 3090's get pushed to the back burner?    Wow.  I've been back on Asus after a poor experience and this was my first EVGA buy in many years.

Very disappointed here knowing I spent 1800 dollars and nvidia doesn't seem to care I can't even run my G9 Odyssey at 240hz when 2000 series could,    EVGA doesn't seem to care that the strix is likely going to beat it,  and we get thanked for our money by 3080 users getting their updated bios first.

we are getting a new 3090 ftw3 beta bios next week!!!

edit: let me rephrase "We have an XOC in testing right now, no promises just yet but will update next week."

man oh man if we get a 480 bios i will be stoked. 520 would be supreme though but im unsure they want to go that high as it may compete with the kingpin

I can't really see much justification for the KPE this go-around...the 3x8pin cards already seem to have a stout enough VRM to handle >500W with ease.  (Or just get any of the Asus cards....even the 2x8 pin ones have KPE level VRM)

Did you even read the thread? Just a few seconds of reading would have answered your question, you spent more time complaining that if you have had read the thread, your answer is literally a few posts above...

They didn't put you on the back burner. The 3080 came out first thus first support and more time for testing so it was released.

So I applied this on my OC bios switch and works great.  My question is since this is 'beta' and will never be released as a normal firmware update - where do these bios upgrades get pushed to on the EVGA site once they are out of beta? Just this one forum post?

I cant speak for EVGA, but since Jacob listed this as an "XOC" beta VBIOS, I'd wager money that it will remain a forum post only thing and not a default install on cards.

The beta/XOC moniker absolves them of having to RMA the card if your particular card doesn't work well with it, but works fine with the stock VBIOSes.
