I just upgraded to the new bios 2 (oc). Now Precision X1 crashes and even resets my pc half way through, Temps are slightly higher. All drivers, etc are up to date. My question is how do I revert to the factory OC bios that shipped with the card?

Sorry I meant to say that Precision X1 scanner crashes half way through. Even manual overclocking now is not stable at the same overclock that was flawless prior to the bios update. Would like to revert to factory OC bios..where can I find this original bios?

They've got a 24/7 tech support section (US), so they can probably email it out to you quickly if you give them a call.

What PSU are you using? Sounds like a power issue. As for reverting, you would have to use nvflash with the normal oc vbios file (assuming you backed up). If not, you can do a temporary workaround by shutting down your PC then flipping the vbios switch in other direction. So if its currently set to Normal then set the switch to OC. If its set to OC then set the switch to Normal. Make sure to do this ONLY when the system is completely powered off then power it back on.

Great job EVGA - looking forward to buying a Hydro Copper with this BIOS.

There's a problem. Updates have been made for each switch.
When the computer is turned off, the normal switch is converted to an OC switch and the computer is turned on. Even though the computer is an OC switch, the BIOS of the normal switch is taken.

Sounds like you either

A. Didn't flash the new vbios properly with the OC switch enabled
OR
B. Flashed the normal vbios with the OC switch enabled.

Redownload the new OC vbios and run the update again after making sure you are in OC mode (switch set to left).

Problem!!

The two versions are different
Even if you reboot
Even though it is in the normal switch state, it is recognized as OC bios.

Interesting...So you did the following

1. Flashed both Normal/OC vbios with beta.
2. Switched to Normal vbios using switch.
3. Launched Precision X1 which showed OC vbios version.
4. Launched GPU-Z which showed Normal vbios version.

Is this correct?

If so, can you see what happens when you use OC switch? Do both Precision X1 and GPU-Z report wrong version?

Can you also do the following

1. Switch to Normal vbios using switch.
2. Launch GPU-Z
3. Click Advanced Tab.
4. Select NVIDIA BIOS from dropdown.
5. Take screenshot of Power limit so we can see if the beta vbios is actually being used with 450W PL.

Weird, he must have had something wrong. I flashed the normal on normal switch and oc on oc switch and both work fine. I can tell because I switch to normal, fans stop below 50 c. Switch to oc, fans are always one and more aggressive and BOTH ARE 450w. You’re using the switch with the computer off right? (don’t flip the switch with the pc on...).

Maybe it’s just the names that are fumbled, but are noticing the change on fans speeds and behaviors like i do? It’s all it does, just change how aggressive the fans are..
