Last I spoke with Seasonic, some of their older Titanium which will be around 2017 had issues with new 30 series cards, If they wont fix yours, they might send you TX-850 which works flawlessly, but that's my guess.

Will have to see how it goes. Since I'm not in the USA, they might have limitations.

In the other hand. Its the only one PSU I have right now available.

Just saw this thread now and I'm wondering if I need to order a different PSU. I have a Seasonic Prime GX750 (SSR-750GD2) on the way for a new build. Still haven't found a GPU but I have been targetting any 3080 I can find.

Is this shutdown issue present in current Seasonic PSUs? I would really appreciate any advice you guys can offer.

Not the current ones as far I know.  A few already mentioned that the TX and ULTRAS have no issues.

Thank you! If I can ever get a GPU to test it with I'll report back :-)

The TX are the new 2019 production as far is Titanium. There are few Prime Platinum even with higher wattage that have/had issues.  I would email Seasonic and they usually respond within day and ask them about PSU in question, they will be able to tell you so you don't have to be wondering and potentially deal with the fallout.

Helpful list, but not exhaustive regarding power supplies.  Some of the EVGA's that are on the Tier A are having this issue, but don't have the (1) denoting that.

Initiated RMA process with Seasonic. Their support team is very fast. Well see if it gets accepted.

Weird thing is, my son has an MSI 3080 in a 3800x system with 32g DDR4, two SSD's, 9 RGB fans and it's all powered by a Seasonic 650w PSU.  It was a $50 psu and it has had no problems running this setup.  Regardless, I'm going to upgrade him to a better PSU since I'd prefer he not fry a 3080 lol.

It depends on the model. Older Seasonic Prime Titanium and FOCUS were heavily affected. Check this thread for al the list. some older EVGA are affected oo.

I have an EVGA Supernova 750P2. Will I need to replace that for a 3090 FTW3 Ultra?
