My PC with a 2016 SSR-750TD (Seasonic Prime Titanium) randomly restarts during desktop load and gaming unless I undervolt and power cap the 3090FTW3 with the wall meter no where near 750W
The cross-ship RMA with Seasonic was approved almost immediately, so I'm assuming they have a known list with expedited approval that includes the SSR-*TD series.

Nothing less than a 850W should be used with a RTX 3080/3090. Let's be real here.

Asking users to overprovision a ~500W DC system demand by 70% using 850W DC supplies is silly and apparently fruitless, considering the SSR-850TD still has shutdowns as do many of the power supplies made in the same period.
The power supplies are supposed to be rated for sustained DC output. Shutting down at 50-70% of that rating due to <1ms transients tripping the OCP is not part of the deal.

The refreshed SSR-750TR has no issues with the 3090FTW.
Seasonic fortunately is willing to fix the issue for owners of their premium line.

I'm on a 750W Prime Titanium as well and my 3080 FTW3 shuts down as soon I get into 3d mode in ANY game.
How much you undervolted and reduced the power cap?

Also, I bought this thing all the way in 2017. Would the darn RMA work as well?

*edit*

Managed to stabilize at -305 Clock, -102 Memory and 65% power limit.

Unbelievable.. this "750W" power supply trips anything near 500Watts (550 from the wall)!!!

I snagged an old Thermaltake TR1000 psu from my office and haven't crashed since.  My Corsair RM1000x from Best Buy should be here tomorrow.  The 850 is going back to Thermaltake on Thursday.

Initiated RMA process with Seasonic. Their support team is very fast. Well see if it gets accepted.

Weird thing is, my son has an MSI 3080 in a 3800x system with 32g DDR4, two SSD's, 9 RGB fans and it's all powered by a Seasonic 650w PSU.  It was a $50 psu and it has had no problems running this setup.  Regardless, I'm going to upgrade him to a better PSU since I'd prefer he not fry a 3080 lol.

It depends on the model. Older Seasonic Prime Titanium and FOCUS were heavily affected. Check this thread for al the list. some older EVGA are affected oo.
