bkhan530kingx11how do you guys feel about having backplate waterblocks becoming a mandatory part of the watercooling kit of 3090? this person here reported the backplate temps @ 38~40c during gaming using Alphacool D-RAM block , i think for a top of the line gpu like FTW ULTRA/KP this should be included as part of the HC block https://www.aquatuning.us...al-black-nickel?c=6480 This is part of the reason I skipped the 3090 (aside from cost) is because I worried about the GDDR6x modules on the back and we already know they run quite hot. So I looked around at different block designs and none of them really addressed active cooling on the backside, they just offered at best a heatpipe for the back plate. I think active cooling would be the way to go for 3090s but you have to consider the amount of people who own a 3090 vs those who actively WC one are such a tiny subset of the market that it probably wouldn't be worth anyone's time to design and market such a block.
