I have a feeling amd is about to put a smackdown on nvidia, but we will have to see. That is why the 3000 series has been rushed. Kingpin cards two months after release? Never has that happened before IIRC. Kingpin cards usually take 8 months to show up.

As much as I would love to see this, there is just no way that I can believe it. They might put the smackdown on the 3070 and down area, but it would be an utter miracle to see them actually compete with 3080/3090, and I don't just mean price per performance.
