U guys knew about this issue weeks, if not months ago...and you are all coming out of the closet now...ONLY BECAUSE OF INDEPENDENT REPORTING. This is not how u build trust...

Agree

Because none of the EVGA retail cards have issues...absolutely no reason whatsoever to make a statement on an unreleased product where the issue was discovered and fixed before release.

Thats a bold statement cotton, lets see if thats gonna work out for ya...

The "bold" statement is what an EVGA brand director stated in this thread about the retail release.  Review cards may have them, which are being swapped bout, but NO retail cards.  EVGA has made that statement. If they lied about that, there will be repercussions on their brand, which I don't think anyone in the company would risk.

On evga.com I still can see 6 POSCAPs in the picture of EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 FTW3 ULTRA GAMING version, so it also has 4 POSCAPs 20 MLCC right? And you will update the picture ?

I'm glad this was caught before cards were shipped out to everyone.

I don't understand why some people are saying this doesn't build trust? If the cards with the potentially bad setup were shipped out and EVGA didn't say anything, then it's fair to be upset. They fixed the issue BEFORE shipping them out. Were they supposed to apologize for cards they didn't send out???

Also, I think this is catching a bit too much fire/attention. Igor did some fantastic work in finding a potential cause of issues, but I think Jay's video is pouring gasoline on this whole crazy release and he's enjoying the attention.

Hey, plz become educated. They/Jacob only mentions FTW3 card...how it has 2MLCCs...which is same as FE version...

At the end he is like...oh, and BTW, XC3s have 1 MLCC...but thats no issue...they will run just fine...

Um...no, there will be left performance on the table...because of early on decisions.

Not saying that EVGA cards are 100% in the clear yet, but I think everyone needs to take a deep breath and calm down for a minute.

tbf Igor probably got the POSTCAP thing confirmed by a graphics card supplier, he has some sources and probably would not just speculate based on the design. He does use to back things up....

Buy a higher SKU card if you want the best with the most OC potential. Thats literally nothing new. Lol

I rarely post but I've been a customer since the 8800GTS days. Every Nvidia GPU (Too many to remember) I've owned is from EVGA and this is exactly why. A+ Customer Service. Keep it up. Waiting patiently for the RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra

Their cards don't have the issue.. nothing to come clean about. They aren't involved in other cards manufacturing

Really...XC3s with only one MLCC isnt an issue?

probably runs fine within specs --> same like FE or slightly below

Why, yes...it will run fine at spec, which is 1710mhz. While everyone who did it right will be pushing 1950+

The XC3s only have 2 8pins and have a lower power limit, etc as a result. Also 5x10 is the reference specification.  All 6x0 cards were deviations.

Yup, apparently some people have reading comprehension issues.

Apparently u need to do some more independent research...read some things..look at some content. I recommend starting with Igor's lab to become just a little more educated.

I've seen all the videos, thanks champ.   Nobody is disputing that independent reporting broke the story.  We are disputing your claim that this in any way has affected EVGA customers who purchased their cards and therefore broken any "trust".  The only ones with problems were early models sent to REVIEWERS. Every AIB partner is only responsible for their cards, as Stickyboy46 stated.  There's no cover-up here and nothing to remedy.
