The whole caps thing is being blown way out of proportion, acting as if it is the sole cause of the crashes.

It seems like the latest Nvidia drivers addressed this issue? Unfortunately they did it in a way that may have affected people who were not experiencing the issue at all. Not a terrible thing if the cards were simply boosting too high but certain bad for optics on Nvidia's end lol.

The fact that Jacob is so active in answering questions is literally awesome no other company is doing anything close to this level of customer outreach

The crashes are more frequency based then caps based. At least from what I’ve been reading Up on seems when they are pushed close to 2k or beyond is when the crashes start. Guessing the 8nm Samsung is already at its limits in base form.

^^^ Especially since they are already pushed to 300+ watts out of the box shows that they are just about at their limits for the most part. And overclocking gives a nice 3% bump in performance

Interesting video. Still, going from +70 to +100 is substantial for such a minor change in hardware, that was somewhere within 50-100Mhz of additional stability. THG got +115 with the all-MLCC ASUS 3080 TUF card. Instead of paying for a factory OC, paying for extra MLCC caps would appear to have some value...

U guys knew about this issue weeks, if not months ago...and you are all coming out of the closet now...ONLY BECAUSE OF INDEPENDENT REPORTING. This is not how u build trust...

I heard NVidia didn’t give its partners very much time to test The cards. so I would be more thankful a few manufactures tested and probably discovered such a thing would happen. Means odds are the ones that have the issue the manufacture didn’t test them or didn’t do very good testing.

I bought a 3080 xc3 gaming and i saw several teates with 5 pops and 10 mlcc not working... why evga keep this project? Why they do not only did like asus did? To change all to high quality ones? We trust in evga, and we buy this brand because has the most quality itens on market. Please, at the minimum, do the same as you did for the ftw3... use the samw project as the founders edition woth 20 mlcc.
