Grateful for information but not lets forget they knew about this for some time now and never said anything until the customers had to find out on their own. This could have been information given BEFORE launch to let people know about shortages of cards. Great they fixed and added MLCC caps... I would hate to be a gigabyte purchaser right now.

It was only the reviewers that had pre-production models (Not final retail version) that had the issue.  Everyone since launch is fine.

On their website, it's 60 MLCC so they probably found the same issue as eVGA but went the 60 MLCC instead.

Lots of fervent Asus fans...just like EVGA fans.

Agree though...and unless someone sticks each card on an oscilloscope to see the transients, there's nothing saying the 4 SP Caps and 20 MLCCs isn't enough to handle it.  Would be interested to see the difference in overall capacitance as well...

Also - Strix is all but confirmed 60 MLCCs in production variant.

Still holding out for a FTW3 Hybrid, but will be interesting to see how things shake out over the next month while I wait.

Personally, I think a lot of people are making a mountain out of a mole hill with this. Another reason I don't overclock much, if at all. I can almost bet the people seeing issues are the one trying to overclock to ~2,100mhz on their reference pcb boards with these new cards.

Thanks very much for the official statement!  I will be glad for this to blow over.  Maybe within 2 days all those other threads can be buried; and maybe this thread will be stickied to keep additional threads from being created.  Whatever the case, I hope that this topic can die.  Let's hope.  I don't know why so many people seem to find it necessary to create so many parallel threads.  It's nuts.

EDIT: Fixed subject to correct nomenclature to read "SP-CAPs" instead of "POSCAPs"

Im holding out for the 3080 Hydro Copper. Will those ship with a 4+2 array like the FTW3 or a 5+1 array thats under suspect?
