The idea is nice the majority of the people wont stick around. youd think elite status wouldve also just been tied to time registered

I come around the forums before, during, or after buying a product and then disappear into the ether with that product. Only time I really popped back was when my 1080 FTW went and decided to die right after getting it.. I'm hoping EVGA will sell my a 3090 FTW3 Ultra so I can once again disappear from the forums until 2025 or so when looking to replace it, or if/when I need other products sooner. 
 
Sadly they keep saying "not today" when I try and stuff money into their pockets.

Many new members join the site seeking help with an issue with their rig. I doubt they would stick around if they had to wait a day to respond with the second bit of information.
 
I do think the whole 100 posts to elite status should be rethunk! It is useless spam that ruins many threads. It either needs to be abolished or there needs to be more clarification that the posts must be helpful or beneficial to the thread in some way. As that would be difficult and very time consuming for the mods I would say to switch the elite requirements to 3-5 blue ribbons. (or at the bare minimum, 1)
It should be given automatically to those that have been a forum member after a year or two and to those that have purchased and registered evga products.
 
1000 new members getting to 100 senseless posts makes for 100k posts, its no wonder why the forums feel so bogged down.

I kinda stumbled across this forum.  Glad I did nonetheless.  Enjoy reading the threads, and I'll admit, I've learned a bit more about the GPU's.

Why not do something good and contribute to the forum in a positive way.

If I had the ability to buy 100 people 3080s I would. So instead I will try to share with them my sense of humor. That's pretty much all I got and even that isnt anything to brag about.
