Quick update on my hitching issue. I thought it might be happening because I have two gsync monitors (Acer X35 and LG 48CX) and there is a known issue of gsync causing stuttering if you have two different monitor types with gsync enabled. However, I unplugged my X35 and just left my other non-gsync/VRR monitor plugged in along with the LG 48CX and I still got the weird hitching issues. Again, unplugging everything except the LG 48CX fixes the hitching problems for me. So there's definitely something up with a multi-monitor setup.

I got my 3080 black running on 55 c9 at 4K 120 hz with gsync today looks awesome. I used the 6 ft 8k monoprice referenced here. I bought this c9 in March 19 waiting for hdmi 2.1 and 3800 runs very good. Long wait but worth it.

Question- is anyone worried about screen burn in? I have a Acer 43 va120hz panel which is very good but oled is better just worried about static icons burning in.

I have a LG OLED B6 that is used as the family room TV that was purchased back in 2016. There is a good amount of burn in. That tv is mainly used for movies and light gaming.

Now that I'm using a CX as a pc monitor I'm scared to death that I'll get burn in. So I normally leave it off and use my two ultra wide monitors as my daily drivers. My CX only gets turned on when I'm playing a game. I'm hoping that doing this will minimize any chance of burn in.

I am using a 55B8. its 2 years old now. 24/7 use. This is the only display i have hooked up. So its for everything, browsing, work, games, movies. I dont have ANY burn ins. Not the tiniest one.
The 8 series was the big step up, where they altered pixel sizes, to counter burn in probability. So 7 or prior series might be more at risk.
But of course, you have to be smart. There are some practices, to avoid burn ins. Oled light at 20 is more than enough for me. Trying not to keep a non moving image for too long on it. Hiding taskbar, rotating background images. Nothing to difficult.
I also plan to upgrade to a CX, but only because Gsync and 4K 120Hz. Otherwise its fine. Right now its rather the nvidia drivers bugs, that are holding me back. Spent over 800$ on a 3080 ftw3 ultra, and its black screening on me in idle while browsing... have to keep it in high performance mode, so that it does not downclock. This way there are no errors, but it isnt an ideal state for a 24/7 machine.

I’ve had good luck with Club3D cables in the past. They always worked when other brands didn’t.

So i have some problems. Upgraded from my B8 to CX.

Bought an AQ Pearl 48 cable, 1.5m. As it is written in the 1st post, that it should work.

Now i can set up 4K/120Hz/HDR/10bit/Gsync: Ocassional flickering on desktop.
Ok, lets disable gsync: Still flickering, but much rare.
Tried to go back to 4K60: No signal. Screen is black, and whatever i do, it wont come back.
Reset. No signal. Not even post screen appears, but judging from the peripherials windows boots up normally, there is just no display.
Turned off pc. Turned on again: there is signal again. Seems to work ok, no flickering at 4K120 now.
If i try to turn on gsync, it begins to flicker very intesively. Also, any resolution change results in black screen, and then i have to turn off pc.

Could my cable be wrong? Or what the hell is this?

I wondering if anyone is having the issue that I am having. When I have my LG CX connected as a screen for my PC, I have to have it turned on for all the monitors to wake up, but that is fine. The issue is that when I'm playing a game in fullscreen and then decide to turn off the TV if I alt-tab out of the game the computer crashes. Are there any settings to change to stop this? Outside of running in windowed fullscreen and losing fps or fps control in some titles.
