Something we all need to realize is there are more people in the step up than on that spreadsheet. For all we know there could have been 50 cards this week but only 6 are on the post or even decided to respond. If you look, there are people from even earlier on 9/17 that never responded. So take the list with a grain of salt and try to be patient. We are all going to get our cards. Remember it’s just a graphics card, not food or water.

+100! We should all be grateful that we are sitting in a queue for a hardware upgrade and not lying in some hospital bed queueing up for a ventilator!

Is there anyone concerned about the resale value of the RTX 3080 cards?  I just watched the latest video from Moore's Law is Dead and it is looking very likely that AMD's Big Navi (6800xt) is going to dominate 3080 in rasterization performance while achieving similar ray-tracing performance as 2080 Ti.  Also Big Navi comes with more VRAM (16 GB) as well.  I have a feeling Nvidia is getting surprised (and shocked) by these developments...

MLID is a very questionable source. May I suggest Igor's Lab, Gamers Nexus or Hardware Unboxed?

Not really. You can't lol. When you're buying high end PC hardware, you're always at risk of what you just bought being obsolete sooner or later and it's value being slashed. It is what it is.
I'll still take a 3080. Right now.

my step 1 email was received 9/17 3:13pm and still radio silence

Why would you expect to hear something ahead of people that received their Step 1 emails 5-6 hours head of you?

I see EVGA has sold through a ton of their B stock cards. They have no inventory at all of 2000 series cards except some 2080Ti's and a couple 2060 SKU's. Maybe now that they've cleared all that out they'll be a little more eager to prioritize step ups a little more?

The 3080 dominates any 2080 Ti, but they're still selling 2080 Ti cards for over $1000, lol. Obviously this isn't a real concern, and honestly the older cards would sell better if they actually devalued with performance. I'd settle with a 2080 Ti for now if I couldn't get a much better card at a lower price (eventually).

No moores law is a hack and pulls all of his sources out of his ass. Better sources have basically proved most of his claims about the 3000 launch wrong and he continues to stan for amd. whatever else he is claiming now is probably dead wrong especially since the latest rumors from more reliable sources show that nvidia decided to cancel some 3000 skus.  If you want better sources for more reliable info igor's lab and gamer's nexus is a good start.

You're at the end of a very long, long, long line. I wouldn't expect to see a card for at least 6 months to a year at this rate.

If Big Navi beats 3080, step-up list might move pretty quickly , when all the boys jump ship and swim to the AMD ship..
