You guys pay some nutty prices just to get the card a few days faster, lol. what are you really missing out on right now that's worth $100's? I paid $25 for delivery from Korea APO w/ insurance.

You probably got a better price for the APO address.  I know I get better shipping prices from someone I know shipping from an APO versus someone using a domestic company for international shipping.
Here are some of the issues/options I ran into
1) $52 was the Cheapest offered to me, which is 7 days; no guarantee delivery.
2) The RMA# is only good for 14 days of issuance.  Any delay plus the time it takes for me to ship it, it could potentially expire.
3) $72 was the next step up for me.  There's nothing between those.  UPS at $52, then USPS at $72 for Priority and insured.

It's not like I wanted to pay those prices; it's about weighing the time you really need to get the product to EVGA within the time allotted.
I chose Ground Shipping to ship the 3080 card back to me.  I have no issues waiting for the card to come.  It was just a potential problem of getting the card to EVGA.  that's my decision making process anyways.

Understandable. However, the very first line of the step 5 email says if you require more time to contact CS, pretty sure a valid tracking number showing postal service in possession is enough to satisfy everyone. They just don't want to be "holding" cards for unmotivated individuals that would sit on their current card knowing they have one tucked away with their name on it.

Eh. Just let people do what they want. Glad you got your shipping super cheap. Everyone else didn’t, and not for lack of trying. And not just cause they’re “nutty” either.

From a rumor mill....take with this with a grain of salt but the market will be flooded with 3080 by the end of the month or beginning of November
I just saw something along these lines, as well. Source is very reputable, IMO.

Just curious, who/what is this reputable source you speak of?

The cheapest I could get which would take a week compared to Priority Express wasn't much different in price.  The place I ship from wouldn't even really give me a quote on overnight and just laughed.  Yes the prices are nutty and yes they have expenses.

There are a few reasons *I* would have personally paid to get this process done asap.  I used to work at a place where we shipped products to customers all over the world.  We did a lot of APO/FPO shipping as well.  My personal experience is that it is best to have the product in the shippers hands as little as possible.  So that's why I like overnight....

On the flip side my package is running late so I am not getting anything done any faster regardless of price.  I also don't have a backup gpu for my pc so it's offline during this process.  I'm also not sure what happens with a Step-Up should the shipper lose or damage your product on the way in.  Sure you have insurance if you paid for it but, you also are going to have to wait for that.  I mean will they let you pay to finish your step-up or are you simply left holding the insurance check trying to get a card.... which goes back to the shipping company having your product for as short a time as possible.

Haha, I feel ya man. I had a buddy tell me to let him know what I think of it when I get mine (shipped mine this week from Korea so using a 970 for a few weeks). Coming from a 2080 Super on a 1080p monitor ... I told him I already knew what I think... I won't see a dang difference! haha. but for $65 I'm set for a while and in the market now for a respectable 1440p monitor. Too many options, I wish there were only like 5 to pick from.

Anyone have great options please send them my way, I want a 32in at 144+hz, gsync preferred.

I just picked up an LG 34GN850-B. Slick monitor. I've thoroughly enjoyed it so far.

So basically they haven't even gone through day 17th of step up? LOL. Looks like I'll get my card in March. Didn't think the stock was that bad. TF is nvidia giving to evga? 10 cards per month?

Well Step-Up being only some unknown percentage of stock.  I was looking at the nowinstock tracker and outside of Best Buy showing some cards on the 15th that sold out in a few minutes.  There wasn't even a listing in the stock history since the 9th.  They track a decent amount of sites and all brands.  That's not really a happy stock tracker if you are trying to get a product....

If big navi launches and suddenly massive stock of rtx 3000 cards appears per that one rumor.  It's just going to look even worse in my opinion.

Oh and that "in stock" alert from the 15th was only Best Buy and covered quite a few brands even some FE cards.  Are Amazon and Newegg really getting nothing?

No regret snagging a 3080 FE to hold me over while waiting for the FTW3 so I can start playing Watch Dogs: Legion when it comes out soon. It’s a beast of a card, and will flip it for above MSRP.
