No new ones are being added to the original list.  You can add yourself to the google docs version as linked in the first post if you like.  The OP is only being updated for Step 2 progression on the existing list as it gives everyone a good idea where they are and how fast it's moving.

Step 5 completed 10/16. Got the RMA# 10/15, but it was too late for me to do anything about it.  And it cost me $72 to send it over from FL to CA with $800 insurance and priority mail.  UPS wanted $141 for the same service.  $52 for Ground (7 days).  There was no middle ground except with USPS, so they win.  Should get there Monday according to the tracking #.  I doubt I'll get it next week, but if I do, then that'll be the best of pricy shipping situation.

Ya I probably should have explored shipping it with the Postal Service. Sounds like it would have been cheaper and gotten there sooner based on your experience. Mine gets there Monday as well based on tracking number, even though it arrived in Walnut, CA by 6am this morning (11 miles away). I paid for 2nd Day Air, so hoping it'll come by next Friday. Here's to hoping your card gets to you before the weekend as well!

Sounds pretty familiar.

I asked for Priority Mail Express which the USPS website claimed was available and for the package size would be around $89 which is just the shipping.  The USPS website also claimed you could get the 1 day service.  When I went to boxing/shipping place that I've used for years.  They told me it was 1 or 2 days and the price was about the same.  With the insurance it was around $100.  So I shipped mine out on 10/14 it left the local post office in Western NY around 5:30pm and took over 30 hours to show up in Rochester, NY (where they fly mail out of more or less).  It left there 11:58pm 10/15 and today just shows the standard "in transit on time" BS with a new delivery date of 10/17.

The cheap option I was offered was $59 and they claimed it would be there Tuesday.  I'm not sure if that was UPS or FedEx as they do all of them.  So I probably should have just gone with that in my case.  Or just done the boxing myself or just paid for packaging and then gone to the post office directly.

I used to sell a lot of stuff on Ebay so I just got in the habit of having this place box and ship all my stuff.  Some of the USPS prices they gave me compared to looking at the actual USPS charts didn't seem to add up either.  So for others that get their stuff ready to ship in... you may want to be more diligent than I was apparently.  Also when I talked to my local post office they claimed that 1 day was available and the price I was charged seems to be the price for that but my package actually just went priority mail so another phone call to make...  Oh well (lol) almost done hopefully.  At this point I'm really glad I paid for insurance.  You know with how things are going *.*.

Step 4 to step 5 takes 24-48 hours to verify the transaction then sends an RMA # when it hits step 5, I jumped the gun and after step 4 sent mine out overnight using the RMA ID on the product page (so it landed on the 48hr side).  Step 5 hit same day my card arrived and they shipped out the new card same day :)  Don't know if I recommend this but worked out well for me.

Also agree with others that shipping has gotten expensive AF ($150 to overnight UPS MN>CA)

If you do packaging yourself, usps priority mail express insured for $800 shipping from florida to evga in california is $64

Size of the box affects shipping cost.  The only box I had was a blue apron box that could give the 2" of space around the card for cushion (as recommended by EVGA), so that increased the price a little.  I know I couldn't have used the same box Best Buy shipped the 2070 super in because it was form fitting...0 cushion. It's all good.  Getting the 3080 and didn't have to stress at all for the past 4 weeks.  Win win IMO.
