I added a just for fun expected step 2 date calculation to the sheet.

It calculates the current number of step2s, assuming everyone before the last guy that got it also got theirs. Then divides that by the number of days between 9/17 and whenever the last step 2 was received. That gives us an estimated Step2s/Day. Then it uses that rate to figure out when it thinks each place in line will get theirs.

Awesome.  Thank you for that.  Is it possible to calculate the Step 2 date without including the weekends?  I don't think they are responding on Saturday and Sunday.  Just a thought.  Much appreciated for creating this.

That doesn't make any sense. Weekends still exist. Based on the small sample of the last 2 batches, it seems they are going to be sending emails on mondays, so the next monday after the "Expected Date" is the bes guess. But it's also still a horrible guess. It assumes the list is a random proportionate  sample of people based on when they signed up, and it assumes they are going to keep releasing cards to step-up at the same rate. Neither of these things is probably true, and both assumptions will probably very wildly. That what it is "Just for fun."

I was just suggesting, if a date landed on a Saturday or Sunday, you could reflect the following Monday.  Just as you outlined in your response.  Again, a suggestion.  Thank you again for your contribution.

EVGA IMMEDIATELY MADE ME WHOLE AGAIN AND ARE OFFERING FREE ARMA. THIS IS A ONE OFF QC ISSUE, NOT B-STOCK.

This was made clear to me it’s not B-Stock and the capacitors are somewhat normal in their current state.

Daniel from EVGA is 100% making me whole again. EVGA CS comes in strong once again. This appears to be a one off issue.

THANK YOU EVGA

This definitely makes me feel good about going EVGA.

FYI Videocardz.com reported “ NVIDIA has revised the plans for the upcoming RTX 30 series ‘refresh’. If you were planning (or trying) to buy a high-end GPU, then you should definitely wait for December. Our sources are confident that NVIDIA will launch two SKUs: 3080 20GB and 3070 16GB in that month.”

So the 10 GB version might be out of date pretty soon after launch...

Well, that’s stupid. But no matter. My step up ran out a couple days ago, and I’ll be more than happy with the 10gb. I’ve already sunk enough money into getting this one with overnight shipping from FL to CA 🥴. Can’t imagine spending another 2-300.

Glad I'm not the first in line, lol you think evga would give you fresh production cards for your stepup, meanwhile they their first batch or few batches were caught with the 6 popscap... Best to be 3 to 4 months in and grab a new card with most bugs worked out... Lol

Yeah, at least there's a silver lining for being deep in the queue!

Probably it would be more trouble than it's worth to program that in to the calculation. It would add a fair bit of complexity to have to track the days of the week versus just doing a straight calculation of the number of days, and in the end it would at most adjust the end result by less than a week. For something that is just a quick and dirty estimate anyway (we have no idea how much supply drops will change over time), there's not much point in making it overly detailed.
