Well the link they provided to more photos, there is a double sticker on the anti static wrap.  Which generally is not a thing.  It's like the second sticker is sealing a previous sliced sticker and the bent fins... not really what I would consider cool.

Call them up.. see if you can get to the front of the line and get a replacement ASAP.  This is exactly what I was afraid of.

Do not just accept it.. you have no idea what else might be wrong.

Just to add more info.  I have not tested the card.  I immediatly stopped opening the card upon inspection through the film.   The box both retail and shipping were completely unscathed.    I am bring this to light becuase I feel like if I had to RMA it at a later date they would say I caused all this heat sink damage.    This sucks as I dont even have a card to use my computer with at all.

Hi Juicer-19, it seems both of us got the Step 1 email at exactly the same time! Hope we will be getting the same batch of cards soon.

We're getting close! I'm guessing we will see our cards by the end of the month. Looks like 2 weeks if they keep up the amount they dished out today.

So, we're not exactly getting close. Not to burst the bubble, but I got off the phone with customer service, one of the guys that reviews the Step-Up requests, and told him about the thread and whatnot and was saying how there were about 20+ people that got to step 2 according to the thread.

Well, he mentioned that it's unofficial which of course, it's a "community ran" forum but he also told me that there were over 1000 requests within the first hour. So just because we see a few names that got theirs, that doesn't mean that any of us are any closer than we think but of course I'd like to stay optimistic. I got in at 10:19 AM on the release day so here's to hoping I see that step 2 within the next few weeks or so.

I was probably at least 100 of those requests before I got through! Hahaha.

Just by looking at the times of the people who are on the list, it seems like the website was not working at all for about 20 minutes from 9:50 to about 10:10. I'm going to keep the optimism even if I have to wait a few months more. The 2080 is still the best gaming I've ever personally experienced and I've only had this PC build for 3 months. So it's all still super new to me. I can definitely understand those who might be feeling down about the wait if they're not able to enjoy what they have right now, though.

I added a just for fun expected step 2 date calculation to the sheet.

It calculates the current number of step2s, assuming everyone before the last guy that got it also got theirs. Then divides that by the number of days between 9/17 and whenever the last step 2 was received. That gives us an estimated Step2s/Day. Then it uses that rate to figure out when it thinks each place in line will get theirs.

Really hoping that B-stock card is a one off and not a pattern. Get that RMA'd asap and ask for cross shipping since you don't have a card to use in the meantime.

I would but RMA is 404'd and I don't really have the funds to front 809$ on thier mistake. I emailed support in the meantime.

I mean, could be a card that almost shipped on launch, got fixed, retested, and resealed. They did mention catching the problem before any went out. Could just be the first few out in the wild have this "problem"
Obviously is a concern though, and clarification from Jacob/EVGA is needed before anything.

It's my understanding that there are a certain amount of cards allocated from what EVGA gets in to step up, not that they are sending people in step-up RMA'd/damaged cards. If that were the case, they would/should note that up front and it would probably be a lot less popular.
