My 3080 shipped, but I had fat fingered a digit in the zip code wrong so I had to do an updated delivery address. Now it hasn't moved since the 22nd and it says "information not available" for delivery date. Sitting here in full on panic mode that it's been lost lol. It originally was supposed to be delivered Monday, to a city 2hrs from here (wish they could have caught they put the city in wrong) so it should get here Tuesday, but that's not helping my nerves.

It was that important to you and you didn't double check that you put in your address correctly?

2 and 3 are consumers, also only a stupid miner that didn't understand how mining works would thrash their cards, very counter productive.

Scalping occurred because of 4 and 5, I prefer capitalism over something like communism.

I don't think anyone is angry with EVGA making the change, well I hope not, they didn't have a choice. Personally I'm a little upset how they regurgitate nvidia's narrative, and seeming supporting Nvidia anti consumer actions, but I guess they have to fall in line or suffer the consequences, we all know how controlling nvidia is.

FYI, EVGA has been shipping a boat ton of gpu's to retailers. I use the site "pccomponentes", and they have sold thousands of cards in the last few days, most non LHR, LHR cards have only appeared in the last few days. Most EVGA cards are available to purchase right now, most with the added scalper tax. EVGA is knowing selling thousands of cards to retailers that are scalping them while people are waiting for months in their queues, right now I can still buy 3070 FTW3 ULTRA GAMING non LHR close to retail, and more non LHR cards are due to be delivered on the 20th of next month (P/N: 08G-P5-3767-KR), why are these cards being scalped instead of going to people who have been waiting for months in the queues, and why do they have non LHR cards for scalping retailers, but then sending auto notify emails telling us they are not available anymore. This doesn't seem fair.

on alot of models of 3080s unless there changing out there thermal pads then they are thrashing the memory. the gpu die may be fine as there undervolted but the undervolt really only changes the core temp for the most part .and  the memory temps still pretty much sit right near there tjmax 24/7. if they change out there thermal pads maybe there only sitting at 80-90c instead of 95-105c kinda thing. its not like that for every model the ftw3 as an example cools vram better thne most.but alot of them don't have the greatest vram cooling set up for the firey gddr6x as the gddr6x can run hot even when gaming let alone mining 24/7. I guess we will find out in a year or two if we see 3080s dying that were bought used off someone if the 24/7 high vram temps have any kind of lasting effect

If we change the thermal pads it will void the warranty though right? I already noticed that my brand new 3080 runs in the 90C range in games at the memory thermal junction and that's a bit excessive. I guess if EVGA covered me with another 3 years for my StepUp they are pretty sure the card can take it. I do wish we could change out the thermal pads without voiding our warranty though. I would like to pass this card down to my kid next time I upgrade. Best Regards

evga is pretty easy on opening your cards. As long as you don't cause physical damage etc you can open it and repaste it and I'm sure swap out thermal pads and have the warranty intact

I saw this in their FAQ # 57720

Installing third party cooling solutions does not void warranty on our products. Just be sure to keep the original cooling solution as it will have to be on the card if it is ever sent in for RMA. Any physical damage such as burn marks, water residue or damage, or any damage to the PCB will void ALL warranties.

This is referring to coolers...but I don't see them having an issue with replacing paste and pads if they allow 3rd party coolers. Do be careful if you do this, if you try to unscrew something and your screwdriver slips and scratches the PCB...that could be enough to say you caused damage to the card and your warranty could be voided.

Thanks, people! I worked as an electronic tech in the US Army so I should be able to manage to replace them with no damage. Thank you for the quick response! Best Regards
