If we can somewhat summarize this issue for EVGA:
3rd fan furthest from the bracket is emitting a squealing type noise.
Is that fair?

Given those conditions, it is not likely a flaw with the fan but the fan controller. It may be fixable by firmware. If not? I hope an EVGA rep at least pokes their head in an acknowledge this.

I have 3 different types of tinnitus in my right ear. Glad I didn't get one now. My ear, because I have Meniere's Disease, has an issue with bad tinnitus but is hypersensitive to certain high frequencies while I'm nearly deaf to lower frequencies.

The frequency of this, I could hear it in the video loudly and made me dizzy. Getting a card with that would literally make me get vertigo and puke while gaming.  Guess I'm waiting until spring to even bother to make sure they get rid of this defect and all stocked out.

I watched the video and could hear it clearly. It does not sound like a fan issue. It's more of an electrical sound. Most likely something to do with the fan controller.

Wow i can’t believe how huge of an issue this turned out to be.

I don't know if its a huge issue or not, it seems to be a small sample size but everyone I've talked says its always the same fan on the XC3 Ultra near the power connectors on the end of the card

Consider how small the current sample size of people with the card in hand is. This is not about to get better, evga is about to have a huge mess on their hands

Yeah I'd agree with this summary.  I did see one case saying it was the middle fan.

I would say thats pretty accurate, I played around with fan curves and it was always the 1 near the 2 8 pin power connectors.

Even folks without issues it would be annoying. It was clearly audible at normal volume on my monitor. My nearest neighbor is about a mile away. I hear every little squeak the house makes warming up in the sun. Sometimes those cracking noises are quite loud...I digress...sure you could cover the noise with headphones while gaming... but about the rest of the...and how do you stop your cat from attacking it?

That was El_Beastador, he rechecked and it is also the same fan.

Yeah - is there anyone with this card yet that says they don't have this issue?
