Acer have recently unveiled the 4K 144 Hz XV282K KV gaming monitor with HDMI 2.1 connectivity. The XV282K KV is the first monitor from Acer to support HDMI 2.1 in addition to VESA DisplayHDR 600, and AMD FreeSync support. The monitor features a 28-inch 4K IPS panel with a refresh rate of 144 Hz which is reportedly sourced from Innolux. The monitor has been certified as VESA DisplayHDR 600 compatible and should offer 98% DCI-P3 coverage along with a contrast ratio of 1,000:1.

The XV282K KV comes with an adjustable stand that can be easily removed to expose the 100 mm x 100 mm VESA mount. The monitor also includes a single DisplayPort 1.4 connection in addition to the dual HDMI 2.1 ports. The monitor features an integrated USB 3.0 hub with four Type-A ports along with a 3.5 mm audio pass-through. The monitor was found for sale on the Chinese shopping site Taobao where it is currently listed for pre-order at 8,499 CNY (~1,245 USD). The monitor may see an international release in 2021 once Chinese pre-orders have been fulfilled.

These are some good looking specs. I hope the pricing will be good.

Nice monitor,  ... you'd also need at least $1500 in video cards (or more) to even get close to 4K & 144 Hz

With the 3090 being able to run 4K at 60fps they say it would make sense it could hit 4K at 144Hz as it's doing a lot less work. It's also a good sign that the 3080 is able to get over 100FPS in games like Doom Eternal. As for the monitor it's kind of needed since even if I bought a 3080 and a new 4K monitor I would want the monitor to last at least one upgrade of the GPU. To me also 144Hz is kind of the magic number I like to see in a monitor for it's refresh rate.

We need mutli GPU for this exact reason. People who give up on multi gpu NEED to ask for it from devs. Make it a demand. Why can't we also use dual DP or dual HDMI to get more speed hz wise?

If that was the case (where ski was to come back supported) putting it in more than only the top tier gpu would really help out also

Yeah always found it funny that people complain about 60hz 4k monitors when all your next gen games with current hardware (unless you blow 3 grand on two 3090 in SLI cannot go above 60 with high settings I mean low setting yeah get your 144hz. 100+ monitors are good for competitive Shooters at lower levels. I can'T even get wow above 60fps most of the time on high setting in 4k on my 3090.

I really think the ideal size for 4k is 42". 28" is too small for 4k content imho.

I don't like 28" for 4k either. It's okay, I like it better on larger monitors than 27 or 28". I know some don't like monitors larger than this size but to each his/her own.
