Cool GTX
Lets hope NDA ends & the 3rd party benchmarks are out by then

Exactly! Getting tired of all these announcements without hard reviews...

Have my money saved but not enough for a GPU & CPU.  Although currently I am content with some of the side/component/peripheral upgrades I did recently.  So maybe I can take my time with either a CPU or GPU upgrade and wait for reviews and holiday shopping.  I have still yet to consider upgrading my main rig if I upgrade the 3800X in my gaming rig, I could and would then be running 2 AMD rigs for the first time.

Never buy the first gen of anything. AMD Zen 3 is a sure bet, but I have little interest in the video card.

Oh you will reverse that decision Mr. B😼

I'll be watching the CPU release with interest, particularly benchmarks, specs and prices around the 10 core level. I'm assuming PCIe 4.0 will be standard.

Not expecting anything mind-blowing with their GPU, but it will be interesting to see how much of an improvement it is over their last release, perhaps an indicator of things to come. I don't expect them to threaten the NVidia 30XX series in a meaningful way, but hey I'm not going to complain if they do - healthy competition is definitely good for us end-users..

I have heard there is an actual 10 core part this time, assuming AMD is actually wanting a direct comparison to Intel.
6c,8c,10c,12c,16c.... skipping 14 core for some reason. All rumors though.....

i am aiming for he 4000 gen because right now i am not interested in a new Cpu that i would need to avoid bottle necks... and with new cpu ( probably new socket) new mobo as well and new RAM ddr5 probably..
and by then pci-e 4 will be much more settled in the market.

i already made my investment last year. now i am aiming to 2023 or 2024 more likely for an overall upgrade

Latest Rumours on RDNA 2 card.... take with a load of salt of course

60% improved performance per watt (beating the estimated 50%)
GDDR6 memory. 16GB on one card.Not a 512 bit bus  Probably 256 bit
128mb of 'infinity cache' to make up for lack of bandwidth
No HBM on consumer cards
Clocks speeds up to the 'console level', ie implies 2.3ghz
80CUs for top SKU
6700 - 3070 level
6800 - around 3080
6800XT - counter to 3080ti
6900 - faster than 3080 and may 'nip at the heels' of the 3090
My take is it will be competitive but Nvidia will still be better.... Shocking....I know

Not enough salt in the world to get me to believe that. AMD isn't going to have a 3080 competitor with just a 256bit bus. Especially one using regular GDDR6 instead of 6X at that.

the date seems like a stupid move for the video card  - they should make the big news exactly 1 day before Nvidia releases reviews & preorders on the 3xxx series
