I don’t get what he’s complaining about. I’d rather have my games look pretty than a plastic shroud in a box on the floor.

My MAIN Issue is that the RTX 3090 does not light up. I am coming from XC Ultra 2080 super's in SLI and before that 1080ti FTW3's in SLI. Both of those cards had great designs the 1080ti's were amazing design and showed off what they were. It seems wrong that this card costs twice as much as my other cards 2 of which were also in the XC lineup and the 2080 logo did light up. Now only a small evga logo. It looks like a $300 budget card yet it is a $1,630 3090 and I have had no chances to get the card I want besides buying one off evga website. I contacted evga support and they said the only option is for me to sell my XC card and buy a 3090. Honestly done with evga and will reccomend mend everyone be done with evga unless they can come up with something better. They could have FTW3's available for launch day as those waiting outside for 24 hours want the best and coolest card. Nvidia markets as a show off card. The looks of the XC3 show off nothing. They lost an evga fan boy in me.

I am excited to get a King Pin, I am currently rocking a GTX 780 ti Superclocked I purchased new back in June 2014, I feel now is time to upgrade. Cannot wait to see how much improvements have been made. My GTX 780 ti has been faithfully been doing it’s job since I built the computer running continuously. A testament to the quality of EVGA products.
Thank you EVGA,
Mike Parker

If you are spending $2,000 or more on a kingpin 3090 GPU I hope you plan to upgrade CPU, motherboard, ram, hdd etc from 2014 as well if you have not already. I only have an 8700k bit gaming is 99% of what I do and Intel has not giving me a good upgrade option. Waiting for next Gen with Pcie 4.0 support to pair with my 3090 but by then we probably have a 4090 haha

Yes that is the plan.  I want to do a complete new computer build for the King Pin 3090. I am also waiting for the new intel processers to be tested before I decide which cpu to go with either the new amd 5000 series or what ever the new intel will be. I do believe that my current cpu will work with the new graphic card, until my new build is ready.
Thanks for advise,
Mike

Hey Ver, I really hope you are checking their 3080 page often. They have been posting time links when they will be posting the waiting list to get in line for new cards.

I'm in the same boat as you, I think I'm on all of the waiting lists besides the water block ones.

Received my 3080 FTW Ultra

But on boot I get 4 horrid beeps

A bit of research's suggests i need to disable CSM Support in the BIOS.  If I disable "CSM" in the BIOS my M.2 doesnt boot up

I dont have the expertise to change the format of the drive, to much danger involved

I see theres a fix for the XC but not the FTW

Any other way to fix the error beeps on boot?

If you installed Windows with CSM enabled, it only boots up with CSM enabled. Otherwise, you'll have to convert your boot drive from MBR to GPT. See this help thread for some explanation:

I've been in que since December (3 months) on multiple different cards. Have not received a single notification yet. FYI
