been getting good temps but last night i noticed temps up to 74c in modern warfare, i spent more time on pc yesterday then usual and when i shut down precision x1 showed at 37c so i think im ok. i think the fans come on when they need to would that be correct?  its been staying in the 62 to 67 c range but ive been messing with graphics in game also so maybe thats why its running a little higher.

Temps are fine, but might wanna make sure the card is downclocking at idle/no load..The fans will come on only when they need to unless overridden with fan control software such as EVGA Precision or MSI Afterburner.

thanks for reply i have precision 1 and i use afterburner for on screen display and i do notice when i come out of game it does downclock back to like 37c. and i dont overclock so do i really need precision 1?

i didnt realize i had tomahawk max in performance mode duh!!!! changed back to balanced mode and all is better.
but i know now i can go performance and run a little hotter just remember to change back.
