I’ve had my new 2080 Super for about 2 weeks now. Been working perfectly gaming at 1440p. I shot a few videos just in 8K on my galaxy s20 it shoots 8K in HEVC h265 codec.

It has lines going through the video when playing it back. Even shows up like that in my video editor! File plays back fine on my laptop which has a GTX 1050 in it.

Specs: Ryzen 3900x
32GB ram
Nvme drive etc etc.

Did a full clean install of windows 10 and fresh install of drivers. Still doing it.


Any ideas? Is this a hardware issue with the card?

8K video playback works fine when it’s not in HEVC 265 codec. Which I think is odd. Hoping this is a weird driver or software bug.

If anyone with an EVGA 2080 super of somesort want to test the file and see how it plays? I’ll post a link to the video.



Another note if I render the video in hand break down to 1080p the line issue is not there.

Does the issue occur over hdmi and displayport?
