Looks like you're right. The picture I was looking at made it look like it was only 12.

That seems to be the ticket since the Black doesn't have any RGB LED or Logo lights that would also go to that 14-pin all-in-one header.
 
Actually, now that I think about it, it could be used with a card that does have RGB LED or Logo lights if one would remove the RGB/Logo light terminals from the original connector and put them 1:1 in that adapter.
