Epic Games have announced that Metro Exodus will be available on their storefront with steep discounts until February 14th, allowing PC gamers to purchase the game with a 40% discount until the game release on Steam.

That's right; Epic Games is doing everything it can to hamper Metro Exodus' Steam release, which takes place on February 15th (see the game's Steam unlock times here). Until 4 PM GMT on February 14th, Epic Games will offer gamers 40% discounts on Metro Exodus' Standard and Gold Editions and 25% off the game's two DLC packs. This makes now an ideal time for existing Metro Exodus owners to purchase the game's Expansion Pass, as the game's Sam's Story expansion is due to release on February 11th.

Metro Exodus' Steam release is unlikely to receive such a high discount on launch day, making now a great time to purchase Metro Exodus, assuming that you are willing to use the Epic Games Store. That said, Xbox Game Pass for PC subscribers can still play Metro Exodus' standard edition for £1 with Microsoft's three-month subscription deal, making Game Pass the cheapest way to play Metro Exodus on PC today.

I think Epic is giving a great discount so they can try and make as many Metro Exodus sales as possible before the Steam release.

I liked the game ... but I got to play it for pennies because it is on the xbox game pass for PC  , which was great for a single player once-through

Kind of wish I would have waited for the Steam version on this one, the game was barely passable for me. I still have yet to finish the game, it is kind of boring.

Just realized the Epic Games holiday coupons are good until May 1st. Since I had one of those $10 off a game that is $15 or more I could use that and knock the game down to $13.99. Not bad at all if you still have the coupon in your profile.

The sheep will buy it for whatever price it is on steam, steam should sell it for 100$ a download and make a killing
and i know it can be done cause this game called outward which is a p.o.s was selling on epic for 5$ and the tards still gave steam 39.99$

Funny... still haven't purchased Jedi: New Order (or whatever it's called) on Steam, I think you'd be surprised that most Steam gamers just wait for sales. Very few games I buy pre-release or even at launch. Mechwarrior 5 (which absolutely sucked, and reminded me why I don't do that).

Kerbal Space Program II will be the only one in the next few years I buy at launch... then again it's going to be a true successor to the current game, so no hesitation here.
