I had the EVGA 2060 super and games were crashing to desktop all the time. I replaced it with an MSI 2060 Super and now no problems. Are some EVGA 20 Series cards problematic?

You can get a bad card from any manufacturer. Sounds like you just got a bad one.

I'd rather deal with EVGA support than MSI anytime.  EVGA makes things right, their customer service is the best.

It's important to know the chips come from NVIDIA and the memory comes from a few different companies. While the layout of the card and cooling can be different it's not like a "bad batch" would exist without it hitting the whole industry.
