The regular non Hybrid XC has a Metal Back plate. So that means somebody some where made the choice to remove the metal back plate as a feature from this card, despite it being a premium offering from EVGA. 
 
Did EVGA really need to save a few dollars by excluding it from having a metal Back plate?
 
You can't even buy them. So that's it. No EVGA Backplate for this card ever. How annoying.

I own one. Found out the hard way it doesn't have a back plate. Looked it up. Every high end 2070s has a back plate except this one. 

I would Contact EVGA CS & inquire about getting a backplate   Contact Customer Service
 
I have No idea when you bough yours .... but this seems to say they should have one on those

The product page for what I bought doesn't mention a backplate at all. I assume it's a recent decision they made.

I have asked EVGA to review that chart for accuracy / if it is Current or Outdated information

yeah so I called them because I didn't feel like waiting for them to get around to an e-mail response.
 
They have assured me they will update the chart for accuracy. (Great)
 
And since I foolishly bought the card from Newegg, I cannot even return it (I gotta stop buying GPU's from Newegg, Damn what was I thinking). They don't have spare back plates laying around because (Apparently) all back plates that get manufactured get attached to a GPU (Which I guess I get, I'm not sure I believe that, but I guess in a perfect world, if you don't plan on selling them separately, and nothing goes wrong at all, then you can have a perfect 1:1 production ratio (Serious doubt there). 
 
So yeah. Big RIP.

I am pretty disappointed by this. All so they could save a few bucks. I wanna find the spread sheet jockey who made that decision and tell him he's a turd.

yeah i see newegg shows it as exchange only, not refundable.
