I have read his reviews before purchasing Power Supplies.  Reliable feedback...

He's one of the top dogs I go to when looking for reviews, especially PSUs.

That may be, but I think he's a straight shooter. He is a resource I use as well for PSU's.

Not sure what this has to do with EVGA power supplies. The person Gordon is talking to in the video is Jon Gerow, hes the director of PSU engineering at Corsair.

Jon Gerow (owner of Johnnyguru.com) quit doing PSU reviews years ago. I believe he turned everything but the ownership of the site over to Oklahomawolf. Oklahomawolf does most if not all the PSU reviews.

Corsair PSU received Jonnyguru.com very first perfect 10 score.

I should have stated as 'they' and not 'he'.

I know Oklahomawolf for years from another forums (OCF).  He's a good dude and does a good job.  Yeah, I never meant Jon doing the reviews but wolf.  It's been a while but the last PSU review I saw that got one of the highest scores was the Seasonic Prime PSU.  I ended up grabbing the 850w for my secondary rig.

All third party reviews need transparency; including how they obtained their sample & how testing was conducted & if changes were made from previous reviews (can you make a direct compare to previous reviews)

I look at several reviews - when possible

I agree that it’s best to look at multiple professional reviews as well as user reviews. Best to see what the community thinks an check out some previous generations to see if the company has a history of good products and good response if a problem happens.

As for Corsair getting good reviews from him I would be more shocked if the company got a bad review. The company is know for quality products but often times at a price that is slightly above other good products. I would just hope that they continue with quality instead of spending money to buy reviewers.

It's hard for consumers to tell if a OEM outsources production. What i hear, it's common for OEM's to outsource production to meet demand. Does anyone know of a OEM that makes majority of the internal parts in house.

(EVGA confirmed to OCN as of 10-13-2017 all B3 units were made by SuperFlower.)

jonnyguru.com review sample was free from EVGA (made by SuperFlower)
Tom's Hardware and TechPowerUp purchased it's own review samples from retail chain (made by RSY)

A good reason to know where a review sample comes from.
