So I upgraded to the Nu from an AE-5 and could not be happier. CSGO sounds incredible with the surround sound effects on, and I'm hearing such clean and accurate sounds. At the price of $190 it's a great buy. Also listening to YouTube is a new experience. I was thinking of buying the AE-9 but ultimately decided on the NU.

Yeah the ae5 is crap. Sold it already.
Planning to try the ae9. Dont know if it will sound better or not.

The NU is now $150 on Amazon brand new! Curious what did you hate about the AE-5?

It doesnt sound great with music. The equalizer is weak. Cant find ae9 on amazon.

Makes me wonder if you was using AE-5 software properly?

Direct HP bypasses it
 
I wouldn't recommend AE-9 in it's current state. Creative rushed that product to the market. People are having issue with the software for it.

That's been the theme with Creative Labs since the 90's. Poor drivers have always been an issue this why I have been trying to find an alternative for decades and I'm trying the NU

I would highly recommend you give the NU a try especially at this $150 price point which they are selling now

Already have nu audio. The dolby passthrough didnt work with kodi player and other player too. So far it only work with powerdvd. The equalizer doesnt work with dolby passthrough.

Creative cards are better then on board audio but they highly process the audio. It's just not the same to have it highly processed and cleaned up as it is to have good quality audio in the first place.

What do you think Nahimic software does on evga cards?
