I had a 2080 Super reference card from Nvidia and decided to upgrade to the FTW3 since I caught it for sale.

Unfortunately the FTW3 won't even run accelerated desktop apps like Chrome without shooting black triangles all over the screen.  I will say that I've never seen this before, but driver clean/reinstall doesn't provide any benefit.  The only resolution during troubleshooting is to remove the FTW3 in favor of the reference card, or use my integrated GPU.

Disappointed.

I don't know if it works with Chrome, but I have found this with last version of Nvidia Drivers

Open Issues Nvidia Driver 436.15Whql:

[Firefox][G-SYNC]: When G-SYNC is enabled, flickering occurs with YouTube full-screen video playback on FireFox when hovering over the timeline. [200544130]
  • To work around, either
    • Set the refresh rate to 60 or 120 Hz (or any refresh rate divisible by 60), or
    • If you want to play full-screen videos with Firefox on a G-SYNC monitor, create a profile and set it to VSync-On.

Perform an clean install of Drivers , after removing the oldest with DDU that you can find it on Guru3D.

Your Os must be Windows 10 May Update 1903

Windows 10 Pro 1809
9900K
Asus Z370 Maximus Hero
Seasonic Platinum 1000W
32GB RAM
No G-Sync

Since it works perfectly with a different 2080S and the problem manifested instantly after swap,, and DDU / driver reinstall doesn’t resolve it, I’m pretty suspicious of the card. Would love to be wrong of course. My goal was a quieter but equal overclock but everything is stock so far.

The system also behaves normally with my 2080 Ti and 1080 Ti.

The card runs game benchmarks pretty well which is REALLY bizarre.  The Chrome acceleration is fubar.  It also fell down when trying to assist my video capture app with encoding activity.

Disappointed.

Having same issue. Let me know what happens or if it gets a resolution. I turned hardware acceleration off. It's fine now. Here is the thread. My 2080 super xc didnt do this.
