I was on my pc this morning doing some Cisco coursework when the entire folder disappeared. It's not in recycle, and I have hidden file/folders set to be shown. I've tried searching but it seems that it is just gone. Anyone ever have this happen to them or possibly know a fix? This is a major problem for me since the folder held every Cisco assignment I've done this year.

There was an issue with the October update deleting folders but I believe there was an update to solve that.

In addition nothing in this world is a certainty. Always keep a backup. There are many ways to do this:

1. Use Microsoft OneDrive
2. If you don't like Microsoft manually backup to the cloud like Google Drive
3. OK if you're not into cloud based backup buy a small NAS.

If you need the contents of that folder recovery software is an option.

I'm running a scan now, hopefully it works. Thanks😀

Recuva found some of the files but a good portion of them weren't available to be recovered. I did get some back though which is a plus. Thx for the info.

System restore to previous save may have worked.

Agreed. Recovery software may be an option.
Know it may seem like salt in a wound, but always back-up work.
Even if it's backing up to a flash drive you keep handy. At least that way, you have a backup to work from.
