Thats with default fan curve, if you increase fanspeeds it drops into the mid 40's

That price is insane lol. Shame I am in EU so no KP for me, not to mention if it was, it would be pretty expensive. Guess I have to settle with my 2080 Ti FTW3.

Any idea on when the HydroCopper will be available and what the cost will be?  I suspect $199, which is a little high compared to some of the competition.  Of course, there's no guarantee that anyone else will even make a Kingpin block.

:/ thought about using an old swiftech mc60 universal GPU cooler which i believe would fit with the default mount and not the m80 adapter.. but the die contact is only 27mm and the die on the 2080ti is 31mmx25mm. :/

That would be the only way I can use this card in ny case other then buying a ek Thermosphere.. but then I wont be able to mount ram heatsinks.

No idea if the mem cold plate on the card would also be usable with a block.

Got my order in. Now to decide if I upgrade my solid 5.1ghz 7700k to a 9900k or wait for a while. Any input would be most welcome.

I noticed bottlenecking with the 1080 TI SC2 and the 7700k and Jumped to the 9900k.Needed more FPS for 240hz. I think the end 2018 was it for quad core intel being sufficient for gaming. If you are playing titles that were released early 2018 or before it probably doesn't matter.

Also if you want to check out team Red the Zen 2 stuff could end up being pretty EPIC... I will be all over the Ryzen 9 - 3850X when it is released.

Note that the 9900k is a definately harder to cool. I still see spikes to 85c when running intel burn test -high with my custom loop...

Last thing.. I have a hard time telling the difference in feel on the Ryzen 2700x+ RTX 2080 @ 2000mhz and the 9900k +1080TI SC2 @2050 in Apex Legends or The Division 2. Frametimes, and FPS minimums do seem to be more important than 10-20FPS highs. Frametime spikes and stutter do seem to be more prevalent with a quad core and the newest titles.

Basicly I have 3 days left on my ftw3 return window at mc. And no chance to mount this in my thermaltake tower 900. Hoses look too short to reach the backside of the case behind the motherboard to mount the rad. :/

Maybe I just mount the rad in mid air haha.. just hanging somehow with the front glass off... it's an idea really haha.. bit man if I missed that rare block release.

How long till a water block hits for this card cause that would be how long I'd be down?

What's another $4-600 on excitement really after ya blew over 5k on an upgrade.. which I dont know how really.. was supposed to be just a CPU/GPU upgrade.. figured less then 3k. I'm rambling..

That power limit is what's worth it over everything else.
