Running a top end machine with dual EVGA 2080 TI and x299 dark

Machine is fine..... the current draw from the UPS is too much when in full use.  Alarm sounds from it.

Recommendation for a specific UPS or a rating that should be enough? Currently using APC Pro 1000s   1000 VA 600 watts.. There is a 1500 VA 900 watt version.

or what do you guys recommend?

thanks

Edit: I wanted to use an UPS not because I expect to use computer with power outage. It’s because I get “brown out” power flickers that tended to be just enough to reboot computer. Everything runs fine with the current UPS except under max stress testing loads. Maybe the UPS VA and watts don’t matter because computer is just pulling too much current when the battery back up isn’t even being used?

How big is your power supply? For example, if your power supply is rated for up to 750 watts and has a 85%+ efficiency rating, it could not possibly consume more than 900 watts. That's one way to decide which UPS would work for you (preparing for the worst possible power consumption).

Don't worry about the VA rating. That's a volt amp rating for highly inductive or capacitive loads; and since your PSU's power factor is almost certainly unknown, going by a VA rating is useless to you.

Some other ways to determine minimum UPS size needed is to use a "Kill A Watt" meter which you can find many places online, use an online power usage calculator (such as EVGA provides here: https://www.evga.com/power-meter/ ), or see the max power consumed as displayed on your current UPS (if equipped).

Tyger gave you some great advice and info. Your going to need a 1000 watt unit at least to be safe and high end sli will not be available to you with that, youll need way bigger if you ever want to sli and preferably it should be on its own outlet run with your pc stuff.

An APC 1500 VA unit should be fine for your usage (though I think their wattage rating is 865 watts or some such, not 900 - mine is packed away at the moment so I can't double-check easily).
Your power supply is serious overkill for that setup though, but since you already have it and it's working, I wouldn't change it.

Just as there are Power Supply Calculators, there are many Uninterruptable Power Supply Calculators to estimate your need, if you search around..Such as this one and this one and this one.

With no overclocking, that system will peak around 800w usage. Since you have one of the most efficient power supplies on the market, the 900w should get the job done... but i'd shoot for something in the 1000-1100w range to give you some headroom for overclocking.
