Yesterday i finished my first pc build. When i plugged everything in to start it for the first time, I didn't get footage on my monitor. I connected my graphics card and monitor with an hdmi cable, and i am confident that the cable works. While i haven't tried with the ondboard graphics i will do it later today. But that doesn't really fix the issue.

I use an EVGA rtx 2070 xc gaming. Did someone else had this problem happen, does anyone know how to fix it? The leds are working so it should have power.

I would like to thank everybody for giving the time to read and answer.

Make sure that onboard graphics is disabled in your bios.  Even set to "Auto" may be an issue.

Cool GTX
What MB & CPU ?

Make sure the Monitor is set to "auto detect input" Or the HDMI input is selected.

You have to use the Monitors on screen controls

Monitor has been used before ?

Monitor indicates power ? (usually LED)

Test outlet your using with a lamp or other device, to make sure its not controlled by a switch.

I've got several outlets where the bottom is always On & the Top outlet is controlled by a wall switch

Did you remove the Nvidia driver before changing cards ?

Have you tried a power flush - shut down - unplug - hold start button 30 sec to discharge all capacitors - plug in & restart

Windows - Fast StartUp turned off ?
