There seems to be some confusion as to whether these cards can actually support 3 monitors simultaneously.

Do all models of the 710 support 3 monitors? Or are there just certain flavors that do.

I have gone through 3 different cards (none were EVGA GT 710's) & yet to have one support 3 monitors. I have VGA/DVI inputs on 2 Planar flat screens & I have one Viewsonic that can by either HDMI or VGA. I want to run the 2 Planar's on the VGA & DVI ports & the Viewsonic on the HDMI port AT ONCE/AT THE SAME TIME.

Can anyone give a definitive answer?

And if not, which EVGA cards support true 3 or multi-monitor support. Desperate to get this working. And very frustrated.

Thanks in advance for a solid answer.

All 710 GT cards with three outputs can support 3 monitors. This evga 710 gt should do the job.

Note: Max digital resolution for a 710 gt is 3840x2160 aka 8,294,400 pixels. Max vga resolution is 2048x1536 aka 3,145,728 pixels.

So if you connect one 4k screen (8,294,400 pixels) to the hdmi output on the card & one 2k screen (4,096,000 pixels) to the dvi output on the card only the dvi monitor will work as you're trying to run a monitor config that the card cannot support. Whatever monitors you connect to the hdmi & dvi outputs (the digital outputs) must stay within the 8,294,400 pixel limit. Same applies to the vga output.

Thanks for your prompt and definitive reply. I pulled the handle and ordered one. I won't be running that high a res. so I should be OK and not exceed the max. pixel count. 1 monitor with HDMI is only 720P & the others are older Planar's that max. out somewhere around 1680 x 1200.

Once again, much thanks!

There is a caveat with using 3 monitors at the same time with the GT 710's. Basically, the versions that have a VGA port would support 2 digital monitors (DVI or HDMI) + 1 analog monitor (VGA). Sometimes we get questions about if the card would support 3 monitors if say, they wanted to use a VGA to HDMI adapter and that type of configuration does not always work. For your configuration it doesn't sound like it would be a problem but wanted to give you a heads up in case you ever wanted to use all digital monitors.

Hi, I am also about to purchase the EVGA GT 710 for a triple monitor set-up, from the information on this thread I probably should not have any problems but just to be sure, will these 3 monitors work ok, IN EXTENDED MODE?

1) Dell UltraSharp U2414H 23.8 inch Widescreen IPS LCD Monitor (1920 x 1080)
Connection: HDMI (GT710) to HDMI (Screen)

2) Dell UltraSharp U2414H 23.8 inch Widescreen IPS LCD Monitor (1920 x 1080)
Connection: DVI (GT710) to HDMI (Screen) (via adapter cable)

3) Fairly Old 17" Dell Flat Panel.
Connection: VGA (GT710) to VGA (Screen)

Thanks

Hi,
I have a question about audio over DVI and HDMI

If I connect 2 TVs to this video card (btw does it matter whether its 1gb or 2gb if I just watch movies?), one with HDMI-HDMI cable, the other with DVI-HDMI cable, will both TVs get sound?
