Reinstall drivers does not help, press fn+F7 nothing, reinstall windows - does not help at all. ((((((((((((((((      Any ideas?      )))))))))))))) And i can confirm that screen artifact issue still exist after fresh install windows (1709) with latest drivers from nvidia 388.71. I tried windows 1607 with drivers 388.71 and there no artifacts. EVGA sc17 980m latest windows 1709 and latest video drivers nvidia 388.71 work great. no artifacts.

I had the same problem the touchpad will track but will not press any button or do any gestures .

the only way to solve for me was to restart but after a while I installed a precision touchpad drivers seems to work fine for now 

just fixed EVGA touchpad, pressed on little hole near power button and reset BIOS. Wow!!!

I had the same problem but it seems that i t fixed it self :)

My touchpad stopped working as well, and I thought it was permanent since my keyboard is failing as well, but the CMOS reset worked like a charm.  Thanks for that.
