Does anyone have this problem? My GPU and Memory colors are switched. I opened up the shroud to get a better look. I also had some wires that were very close to the VRM fan and was worried the fan might catch them so I also moved the wires around a bit when I put the shroud back on to make sure it didn't hit fan. I'm guessing the pins on one of the connectors is switched. Have a look at the to see my problem and also a peak of what the card is like under the shroud.

I don't understand why everyone has a OBSESSION of single slotted GPUs.  Do most of you know why you want it for?  Are you going to utilize a single anyways?  Most likely not and who would want to sandwich another PCIe component next to a air cooled hot running GPU?  Going more than 3-4 GPUs in a SLI on air or water?  Understandable but that community is VERY small.  Most will go single and some dual GPU configurations and yes, companies should be held accountable for false advertising if the single slot was never really single slot.

Again, you're all over the place when comparing low Vram GPUs that once were high end to what we have now.  It's called innovations.  It happens like magic and boom, you got way better stuff years down the road.  Those 1.5GB GPUs paved and payed the way for the next tech down the road.  It's like you have some conspiracy that Nvidia held back 11 GB Vram GPUs 5+ years ago and only gave us 1.5 GB.  smh lol  I will say, they probably could have added a bit more Vram and that most likely would have increased the cost and the competition needs to be there to keep each other at their toes.

If you ever feel the tech isn't up to par, vote with your wallet.  It will go a long way and everyone should do the same.  It will create awareness and attention to what consumers really want.

You didn't even pay attention to what I said, you're asking who wants to shove another component next to a hot gpu on air, yet I only talked about the Hydro Copper cards.  And I want single slot because I need it for all my stuff to fit, the older HC's wouldn't fit in the first gpu slot because they crashed into the motherboard's water block fittings, and first card in second slot means it runs at x8 speed.  m.2 drives disable the x4 slot, so that's one slot down already and I can't lose another if I want all of my storage cards plugged in.  The 1080Ti is true single slot, so it plugged right in and I no longer have that problem.  I said the memory is typically lower on the HC's compared to other cards IN THE SAME SERIES, I wasn't comparing a 400 series card directly to a 1080Ti, rather past trends of HC cards compared to the current series.  The 1080Ti HC's have the same amount of memory as the other cards in the SAME SERIES actually, so yeah they're relatively better this time around.  Please stop trying to argue with me for no reason Jack, and if you do, at least pay attention to what I say.

So in general, you love this line because it made your other things fit.  Great argument why this line was the best one.  Ok fine.  I'm just trying to point out the obvious but you're right and I'm wrong.  You compared the GTX 400 series to the GTX 10XX series.  My fault.  Let's just move on.

Got mine yesterday. Incredible build quality.

Just to follow up, my FTW3 Hybrid boosted to 2000MHz with factory default settings.

Hey can anyone tell me why the 1080 ti kingpin that is listed on EVGA products page says it only has a clock of 1582 when the advertisements for the kingpin are claiming 2025 gauranteed + overclocking. Do I have the wrong information or is the products page have the wrong information?

Sure someone will correct me if I am wrong....

Product page is fine I believe.

1582 is the base clock. The boost clock is 1695 which it will hit no issues on Boost. When you pop one of these bad boys in they will most likly (like all other 1080ti s cards) boost to 19xx anyway, which is beyond the 1695 mentioned.

The 2025 is what you are guaranteed to get at least with overclocking it yourself past the automatic boost. I don't think any other card has that guarantee from what I have seen so far from the manufacturer.

However, some 1080ti can do that (not all) and that is the silicon lottery you might have seen people talking about around the internet.

Cooling and air flow matter with these cards bare that in mind otherwise you might see it down clock.

This is interesting, can you explain what you've done here? It appears you've installed a Hydro Copper and used the original backplate? Have you attached the badge there somehow?

Curious as to how temps compare with the Hydro Copper vs fan/heatsink setup?

Edit: My bad, I see this is the EKWB block for 1080 Ti series...
