My updated build

Very nice looking! IMO this is how an expensive GFx card should be mounted. Nice build man.

Thanks! They definitely should be vertical so we can just be mirin them.

My journey since 2007. EVGA has always been pretty good to me.

If I'm reading things right, the boost clock on the 1080Ti is apparently already hitting 1999 Mhz out of the box without me adding any kind of offset to the card. It will be interesting to see how far I can push this thing. I haven't done too much testing with it but after running some short 6 minute benchmarks, the hottest the GPU has gotten was 49C.

Thank you for your support of the community @EVGA_JacobF .

Yup, I just purchased a 1080Ti FTW3 ICX HC Gaming and 1999Mhz right out of the box without any offset or voltage added.  I bumped it up to 2025Mhz to match the 'Kingpin guarantee' on that card and it passed all the stability tests w/o a problem.  Max temperature was only 40C at full load lol.  I'm loving this card so far, much better than all the HC Classifieds I've purchased previously back all the way to the 400 series.  For once I feel like the card is balanced, between enough memory for once and enough gpu power as well.

i love EVGA product. I got a 970 and it's about time i upgrade my GPU.

I think that's an unfair statement.  Too many variables that come into play and you're comparing newer more powerful and efficient tech to old tech.  Of course the newer stuff will run better.

These GPUs were built for 4k @ 60hz.  If you're gaming at 1080p or 1440p, sure it's more than enough.

No it's not unfair, the 480's were single slot, but terribly short on memory (1.5GB while others in the series had more) and not fully water cooled, rather a hybrid with only the gpu being on water.  The 780 Classified HC's were advertised as single slot, although the water blocks stuck out just enough to block the next slot (that really irritated me tbh).  You assumed I was talking about the performance, and I wasn't, the actual gpu chip in them has done great on every card.  HC's advertised as single slot while actually not single slot, and with barely enough memory while others in the same series had significantly more is closer to what I mean.  They never release the best cards on water either, just like now with the Kingpin on air.  Paying another $100 for the Kingpin and still having to buy the block makes little sense while the HC FTW3 ICX Gaming jumped right up to the same specs, w/o a voltage hike, and comes with the block installed for cheaper.  This time around the HC seems to be the best bang really, unless a monster classified comes out real soon (on air lol).

I don't understand why everyone has a OBSESSION of single slotted GPUs.  Do most of you know why you want it for?  Are you going to utilize a single anyways?  Most likely not and who would want to sandwich another PCIe component next to a air cooled hot running GPU?  Going more than 3-4 GPUs in a SLI on air or water?  Understandable but that community is VERY small.  Most will go single and some dual GPU configurations and yes, companies should be held accountable for false advertising if the single slot was never really single slot.

Again, you're all over the place when comparing low Vram GPUs that once were high end to what we have now.  It's called innovations.  It happens like magic and boom, you got way better stuff years down the road.  Those 1.5GB GPUs paved and payed the way for the next tech down the road.  It's like you have some conspiracy that Nvidia held back 11 GB Vram GPUs 5+ years ago and only gave us 1.5 GB.  smh lol  I will say, they probably could have added a bit more Vram and that most likely would have increased the cost and the competition needs to be there to keep each other at their toes.

If you ever feel the tech isn't up to par, vote with your wallet.  It will go a long way and everyone should do the same.  It will create awareness and attention to what consumers really want.
