Someone tested the effect.of the other fans in gpu temp. The others had a significant effect of lowering the gpu temp as well as the memory and vrms. I keep mine synced across the board and get solid temps.

Yeah it was pretty significant for me. Like 5 to 6 deg c with minimal increase to noise

Love these cards! Was only able to get these because of the ICX upgrade program resetting my step up. Had 1080 FTW2's beforehand and were great cards too. Running a custom fan curve keeping my temps anywhere from 55c to 75c depending on the game I'm playing.

Q: what happens if the bios switch breaks T_T mine is stuck on masters. Not that it's a problem because I don't overclock it that much but I was wondering.

Hi peeps,

I am a virgin with regard to Nvidia cards in general. Looking back over the past two decades the GPUs I have had in my rig were from Matrox, then ATI and latterly from AMD.

Let's face it, 2017 has brought gamers naff all from either AMD (Ryzen) or Intel. I was holding out to see what the AMD VEGA graphics card would bring but when I saw that it was performing just above a GTX 1070 and below a GTX 1080 I gave up on AMD in disgust.

So I had some spare dosh to spend and decided that I would go for an Nvidia card and I was going to bust my cherry on a 1080 Ti.

I decided, because of the length of the card, to go for the the EVGA 1080 Ti SC2.

What decided me to go for EVGA was the fact that after they had a debacle with their previous version of the card, they were really good with regard to those affected by the problems, but not only that, decided to learn the lessons and react.

From what I have seen they went above and beyond the call of duty (pardon the pun) and aside from some trepidation with regard to fan noise I am really looking forward to getting the card delivered next week.

One thing I would appreciate, is if someone has a good fan profile they could share with me regarding how I should configure the two fans on the SC2 for the best balance between performance and noise I would be grateful.

I was one of the guys with the 1080 FTW 'black screen and fan ramp to 100%' issues on the original cards. EVGA not only quickly RMA'd my cards but even shipped the replacement cards to me first and covered all costs. Didn't cost me a penny. Their customer service is second to none. I've spent 1000's of dollars with them over the years and always loved their products. My current PC is an EVGA build short of the case and the memory. Solid and reliable system. I will continue to stand by this company and they are my go to especially for graphics cards. No question. You'll love your new Ti. Great choice!

Ironically over many years I have always found that EVGA had exactly what I wanted after I had already bought it somewhere else.

The latest was the Superflower Leadex 550W Platinum, which, a few weeks after I bought it, was offered by EVGA under their own brand name.

It was after reading the level of loyalty to the customer that EVGA displayed (again pardon the pun) which made me look at them FIRST this time when I was looking to buy a 1080 Ti graphics card.

Aside from anything else I like to disprove "conventional wisdom" whenever I can and this time the one that got the kick up the arse was "no good deed goes unpunished"

First EVGA product/gpu ever purchased(GTX 1080 Ti SC2 Hybrid) and also my first time posting here in the EVGA forums. I've always heard great things about EVGA especially the excellent customer service. I would love to take advantage of the step-up program that I've been hearing about when next gen gpus comes out :)

After 5 years with the GTX 680 (also from EVGA) I think its high time for an upgrade and what an upgrade this is

The QDC's over the card show what will be coming next
