Just found this PSU calculator and although I just ordered a 1600watt G2 , thought I would check this out after putting in all info.
Said I needed 80 Plus Gold 650W .
This is what the computer takes ...over 1100 watts
Oh well.

I plugged in a x99 system with a 5930k CPU and a 2080 ti GPU, and it was showing 550w power supplies, even though the 2080 ti says a minimum of 650w

Also the chose your series section after the results are confusing, if you could break out different parts of it (small size, low noise, etc.) and performance levels like "ultimate, enthusiast, extreme" etc. seem to have an unclear order (let alone meaning)

Thanks for the tool; guess I don’t need a 1300 watt g2.

Thank you, I was just asking this question in another post if my 850w EVGA PSU could handle the load. Nice with my system config and CPU overclocked. The 850w will still handle either the 3080/3090!

Are the 1000 watt EVGA PSUs better than the Corsair equivalents?
