By far the single most important component in a system is the PSU. I would really like to hear someone try to argue against this.

I am getting the bits together to build a new system and of course I start off with the PSU. I decided that I didn't need anything above a 650 Watt PSU and I also wanted a Platinum rated one.

I have a good feeling about the company EVGA and I recently bought an EVGA GTX 1080 Ti SC2 graphics card, and I learned that they sell the SuperFlower made 650W Platinum PSU under the name "EVGA SuperNOVA 650 P2"

I did my due diligence by looking at JonnyGuru.com to see if it has been tested there, it had, and it came through with flying colours, so it was a no-brainer what I searched for. I found a price I was willing to pay and bought one.

So now I am the proud owner of two "Best in Class" EVGA products. I hope I am not on the slippery slope to EVGA Fanboyism

Just want to remind, this is some list from Tom's Hardware site from 2015 best of best PSU available at that moment.
Off course G3 series would be on that list now.

EVGA G2/P2/T2
EVGA GS
EVGA PS
EVGA GQ

now and EVGA G3 definitely with 9.8 scores from Johnny Guru site.
All are on list of highest quality recommended PSU for enthusiasts, gamers and overclockers.

Only EVGA should refresh their list with SFX up to 600W and Fanless up to 600W both in Gold/Platinum.
For SFX line should use short max 30cm ribbon cables together with 24pin.

Hi guys,

I found the best EVGA PSU for my mining rig (6x Sapphire RX580) which is the 1300 Gold Supernova, but by opening it, we've noticed I don't have enough VGA power cords for powering the cards that require 8 + 6 pins each. I have two "8 pins to 8 + 6 (split)" that come in the box, but I need four more. How can I buy additional power cords to complete my setup? What is the part number for the "8 pins to 8+6" that comes with the unit?

Thanks in advance.
Alex.

Just curious if EVGA makes it's own PSUs or if another company makes them for you. I've only had one EVGA PSU (my current PSU) and it makes an awful coil whine sound when my GPU starts pulling juice.

Some PSU models are Super Flower and some models are Seasonic.

Does anyone know if the "EVGA SuperNOVA 750 P2, 80+ PLATINUM 750W , Fully Modular" is made by Super Flower or Seasonic?  Thanks.

Nevermind.  I think I found my answer using Sajin's link to the Tom's Hardware article above.

SuperNova G2 / P2 / T2 Super Flower
