I'd say you should just select the aggressive preset on Precision.

I only use MSI Afterburner. Say something like 70% or 80% RPM at 65c, noisy but should keep the VRM safe, right?

Yeah. That's pretty much how the aggressive preset is set up on Precision.

Just a question, does this BIOS update makes any sense if i'm already using aggressive fan curve with Precision X or will it improve the temps even further?

Can you guys provide accurate measurements for your thermal pads please (size and thickness, for ''Narrow Thermal Pad & Wide Thermal Pad'' as from pdf file), I have some pads already at home, I gonna cut them to exact same sizes and use them, until I receive an evga's ones. Thank you in advance.

What do you mean? Only PSUs have safeguards agains shorts and power surges/fluctuations. There are some motherboards that also have surge safeguards, but the PSU usually deals with it first.

One would think that new BIOS is just to make sure everyone is getting his card cooled properly without having to mess with fan curves.
